Happy #ThursdayWordDay! 

I chose this word because I feel like it doesn't get used often enough. I think that's because it's oddly similar to the nastily little word "castrate" and nobody wants that! 

Here's what Merriam-Webster has to say: "castigate: verb. 1) to criticize (someone) harshly."

See, that wasn't so bad.
