Are You Going to These Local Go Set a Watchman Release Parties?

I don't know about you, but I haven't been to a midnight release party for a book since 2007 with the final installment of Harry Potter. If a book is big enough to make book stores stay open into the wee hours of the morn, you best believe you'll find me there.

There are midnight release parties and a party Tuesday evening in Birmingham and I hope you'll join me there.

I did a little digging and, from what I understand, all Books-A-Million locations in the Birmingham area are having midnight release parties. They're not closing Monday, July 13th, so show up and hop in line for your copy of Go Set a Watchman. At some point, Joe Muggs is supposed to be giving out free drinks. I'll be at the Fultondale location, so feel free to join me!

There's also a party Tuesday evening at Iron City with some lovely authors, the CEO of Books-A-Million, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar. Though the event is free, tickets apparently went fast because EventBrite is telling me the event is sold out! I hope you've already got your tickets, but if not, you can always try ingratiating yourself to the person at the door. Iron City is a big place, after all.

And if you can't join me in person, be sure to follow me on Periscope because I'll definitely be book scoping the events. I'll have my scopes synced to my Twitter, @fixedbaroque, and will be hashtagging everything #bookscope and #GoSetAWatchman.

Are you going to any GSAW release parties? Are you chomping at the bit to read the book? Tell me in the comments below!
