Thursday Word Day: Nugatory

Happy #ThursdayWordDay, word nerds!

My boyfriend is unabashedly supportive of my bookish ways, thus I was the recipient of a Merriam-Webster Page-A-Day Calendar for Christmas (along while a whole stack of books). So today's word was inspired by Page-A-Day!

"nugatory: adjective. 1) trifling, inconsequential, 2) having no force, inoperative."

That one could be worked into an insult if you wanted to get creative. And if you want a calendar of your own, they're half off now.

Got a favorite vocab word? Share it and a link to your blog in the comments and I'll feature you for a future Thursday Word Day.
