My essay was nominated for Best of the Net!

I just got some good news! (Which is extremely welcome in this dysfunctional year.)
My essay “Mohammed and Me,” which was published in Heavy Feather Review earlier this year, was nominated for Best of the Net!
Best of the Net is an annual anthology series with the goal of combining all the best pieces published in literary magazines over the past year. Nominations must come from the editor of the magazine and they can only submit 2 short stories, 2 creative nonfiction pieces, and 6 poems. I’m thrilled my essay was one of the two creative nonfiction nominations Heavy Feather submitted!
I’d love for you to read the essay. It’s one of my best and I’m not the only one who thinks so. ;)
