Thursday Word Day: Klaxon

Happy #ThursdayWordDay, word nerds!

I would use a klaxon to draw your attention to that post, but people tend not to like unexpected noises and, thankfully, that's not necessary since you're already here.

Dictionary.com says, "klaxon: noun. 1) a loud electric horn, formerly used on automobiles, trucks, etc., and now often used as a warning signal."

So next time you're watching one of those old timey black and white movies and you hear that horn that sounds like the '50s, you'll know what to call it.

Got a favorite vocab word? Share it in the comments below along with a link to your blog and I just might feature the word and give you a shoutout in a future Thursday Word Day post!
