Thursday Word Day: Nebulous

Happy #ThursdayWordDay!

Permission to judge me has been granted.

I recently learned that "nebulous," unless you're an astronaut or aerospace engineer, does not mean "having nebula-like qualities." And unlike the word "nebula," has NOTHING to do with outer space in common usage.

So what does it mean? Dictionary.com says, "nebulous: adj. 1) hazy, vague, indistinct, or confused, 2) cloudy or cloudlike."

There you have it! A vocab word that can be used to describe atmospheric conditions, awkward situations, or someone's face is you're feeling particularly daft.

Got a favorite quirky vocab word? Share it in the comments below along with a link to your blog and I'll feature you in a future #ThursdayWordDay!
