Talking Writing: Four Conversations to a Better Writing Life
Talking Writing: Four Conversations to a Better Writing Life
You know what they say: two heads are better than one.
Yet writing is such a solitary practice that when you’re stuck you may not think to reach out to other writers until you’re in full-on frustration mode and you’re ready to tear your work-in-progress to shreds. I know because I’ve been there.
In these pages you’ll meet a variety of different writers, including a journalism professor, a recipe developer and food content writer, a humorist and creative nonfiction writer, and the founder of a women’s writing organization. All of whom have different styles of writing, different goals with their writing, and therefore different struggles with their writing. They are Black and white, queer and straight, religious and secular, all identify as women, and they are all successful writers in their respective genres. There are so many different ways to be a writer because the writing world has something for everyone.
You never know what these conversations might spark for you. What if the consistent, generative, free-flowing writing life you’ve always dreamed of is just four conversations away?
