Thursday Word Day: Fungible

Happy #ThursdayWordDay, word nerds!

Today's word is "fungible." Like me, you might have just read that and assumed it meant something like, "related to, or having the properties of fungi." Reasonable assumption, right?

I thought so, too. But in the context of the sentence where I read the word, I knew that definitely wasn't it.

So like a good little book nerd, I looked it up! Dictionary.com says, "fungible: adj. 1) (especially of goods) being of such nature or kind as to be freely exchangeable or replaceable, in whole or in part, for another of like nature or kind."

Next time someone pisses you off, just tell them they better act right because they're fungible. Ha!
